Markaz-i Noor Centre for Sahikh-ul Aalam Studies, University of Kashmir organized Mehfil-e Milad in collaboration with J&K Bank, Hazratbal today the 20th Nov 2018 at Seminar Hall of the Centre. Besides different events, a Naatiya Mushaira was also held. The Mushaira began with the recitation of a Naat by famous Naat Khaan  of the valley Abul Hassan Farooqi. The Mushaira was presided over by the Prof. Margoob Banhali. The profound Naatgos of the valley viz a viz Gh. Nabi Khayal, Prof. Majrooh Rashid,         Prof. Mehfooza Jan, Dr. Shafqat Altaf, Ranjoor Tilgami, Zareef Ahmad Zareef, Shahnaaz Rashid, Bashir Arif, Majeed Mansoor, Gh. Hassan Gamgeen, Reyhana Kounsar,               Gh. Muhammad Lone, recited their Naatiya poetry in the Naatiya Poetic Symposium.

While welcoming the poets and the participants the Chairperson Prof. Mehfooza Jan the Centre highlighted the message and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and further underscored the need to follow the path of the Prophet (PUBH) for rebuilding peace and tranquility throughout the world.
