Editorial Policy


Journal Policy:

The journal is committed to publishing original articles in English, Urdu and Kashmiri, to promote critical scholarship encompassing different disciplines and streams. Its multilingual character is a means to promote its multidisciplinary character, giving space to scholars from different areas, within and outside the region.

Licence:

The journal follows an open license policy (Creative Commons: CC BY-NC 4.0) allowing for immediate free access to the work and permitting any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose. However, the material may not be used for any commercial purposes.

Editorial Policy:

The editorial process of the ‘Alamdār is overseen by the Editor-in-Chief, supported by three Associate/Assistant Editors. The Advisory Board of the journal is drawn from various disciplines and academic institutions across the world.

The journal accepts manuscripts in English, Kashmiri, and Urdu. For referencing style and formatting information please see Manuscript Submission Guidelines. Failure to observe these submission guidelines and style would affect the publication of the submitted piece.  The journal does not charge any fees for publishing an article.

Review Process:

All research articles submitted to The Alamdār undergo a process of double-blind peer review, following an initial screening by the editorial team.

 





Ethical Policy


Plagiarism/ Ethical Policy:

The journal routinely screens article submissions for plagiarism. It uses Turnitin software for this purpose. The journal also follows the COPE guidelines.
Articles submitted to the journal should not be under consideration for any other publication at the same time.
